Hello guys and girls! Welcome to Eastern European Travel!

This is the blog that covers an amazing part of the world – one that is often ignored by most tourists out there: Eastern Europe.

While I am focusing a little bit on the girls and having fun in Eastern Europe aspect (I’m a young, single male, in the end), I am not going to ignore the “regular” parts about this region – the beautiful cities you can visit, things you can do and everything in between.

All in all, Eastern European Travel slowly becomes your go-to place with the best, hands-on information about living in this part of the world but also finding love here. Nothing can beat this!

Who is behind EasternEuropeanTravel.com?

My name is Arlen and I am originally from San Francisco, CA. I’m an almost-30 single dude that loves to travel the world, blend in with locals and experience as much as possible of what this planet has to offer.

After a brief (but successful) stint in the corporate world, I decided to leave it all behind and pursue my lifelong dream – that of traveling the world and being my own boss.

It all started in 2015 when I booked my one-way ticket to the Philippines in SE-Asia (read about my experiences there on Life Around Asia!)

While I felt really good exploring the region, I wanted something new, so in 2016 I was already exploring the beautiful countries in Eastern Europe.

I’ve been living this lifestyle ever since, without a traditional place to call home, but with something more valuable in my soul: freedom and happiness.

Since leaving the corporate world I’ve been traveling extensively, focusing on Eastern European travel, but with lots of time spent in South-East Asia, but also Scandinavia. And, of course, the regular visit back home to see the parents and friends in the US.

But in this blog, I am going to share my experiences and thoughts about Eastern Europe – and I will do my best to present them exactly as they are, with no added fluff and without the traditional over-hyping that you see everywhere.

I hope you’ll enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing this!
